Leisure Industry Week saw the launch by Derwent Healthcare of the new InBody 220 body composition analyser.
The 220 is the latest in the company's range of Biospace Body Composition analysers and has been developed specifically for use in the health and fitness industry.
Using a method whereby it measures - through eight electrodes - the bioimpedance of various parts of the body as they allow current to pass through, the machine provides a range of outputs which include muscle/fat analysis, weight control, nutritional evaluation, recommended calorie intake per day, BMI, BMR and an exercise planner with energy expenditure for each exercise.
It has a touch screen for easy data input, customised handle bars to guide proper posture, a foodpad which measures both weight and body composition and can provide analysis in under 35 seconds.
Suitable for use with clients from age three upwards, the 220 has a weight range of between ten and 250kg.
